Praying From A Place Of Empowerment

Pray: “To speak to God either privately or in a religious ceremony in order to express love, admiration, or thanks or in order to ask for something,” - Cambridge Dictionary.
The world's population has increased nearly 6 times over the past 200 years, yet, the percentage of religious people today has decreased in relation to the population's increase. With the rise in information available on the internet, more and more people have been questioning their religious path. Yet, simultaneously, more and more people are seeking guidance. As science is catching up with spirituality, it is now affirming the benefits of prayer and meditation, even for atheists. (A common misconception is that one needs to be religious in order to pray. That is not true. Anyone can pray and meditate.)
At some point, we’ve all turned to prayer in desperation during a life-altering challenge. I believe this is the reason why we have recently been undergoing such turbulent times - to get us to connect back to Source.

We often pray for our situation to change, but true prayer invites us to change ourselves first. The definition of prayer really started to shift and land for me when David Giyam in his podcast, "Manifesting Clarity: Using Prayer to Simplify Your Life", explained it this way: “I pray and I ask the Creator to help me change, help me remove my doubts, help me remove my fears, help me remove my insecurities… and transforming blame [on our external circumstances] into personal transformation.” He explains that we’re not supposed to pray for the person who is making you insecure to stop. Instead of asking for our circumstances to change so that we can live a more comfortable life and avoid taking responsibility, we should ask the Creator to help us transform so that we are better equipped to handle what comes our way.
Prayer helps me set my ego's desires to the side and surrender to my soul's desires. And when I pray from a state of empowerment, I align with my soul's path so much quicker and rise up that much stronger.
When I pray from a place of empowerment, I say “Thank you for this challenge. Thank you for the perfect circumstances that humbled me so that I can see myself clearly and not let my ego create an illusion of the truth.” Pain brings purification of the heart and therefore, clarity of the soul. That doesn’t mean I accept things as they are and remain passive when I'm suffering. It means that I surrender to the Creator's plan and I accept that the Universe gave me this challenge for my own good; for the purpose of my own growth. When I pray with this understanding, I have already transformed the pain into power and my vibration lifts. When my vibration lifts, my energy field expands and grows stronger. When my vibration lifts, my capacity to hold more light increases. When my light is stronger, I'm able to be solid during turbulent times and I keep facing North when everything is trying to take me off course. It means that my resilience on a mental, emotional, physical and spiritual level increases. I make decisions more quickly because I have more clarity and less doubts. I accept and forgive more easily because even though I'm still feeling emotions such as fear, anger, sadness, etc, I'm not holding onto them longer than necessary. They move through my system and then transform into light. All of these abilities are more accessible when my vibration lifts.
Here’s a visual graph that explains this better:

The explanation of this map on their website states: “No need to make a new religion out of it.” It's relevant to everyone. As shown in the graph, consciousness levels range from shame (lowest) to enlightenment (highest). These are linked to emotional frequencies that shape how we experience life. This map explains how Heaven is a state of mind, meaning that if you’re vibrating on the lower frequencies, you are experiencing what we call “Hell” on Earth. As you move up, you create for yourself what is known as “Heaven on Earth". Hell is not a place—it’s a state of mind at low vibrational levels, and so, Heaven is the state of mind at higher vibrational levels. The level of consciousness that you have reached by the end of your life determines whether you experience Heaven or Hell, after you die.
When you look at the emotions to the right of the triangle, their number next to them is a measurement that Dr Hawkins has equated to the emotion and is used as the measurement unit for energy or electricity. There are no good or bad emotions. Trying to avoid one will not help you move up to a higher one. You might experience a higher vibration for a while, but it won't last long, unless you face the lower ones and use them to empower you and propel you higher. More information on this is best explained in a great blog post by Scott. Follow the link here.
As you may know already, there are multiple things that one can do to raise one’s vibration, but praying from an empowered state is one of the most powerful. When praying from a place of: I am enough, you have already internally done the work to move out of the Victim/Abuser consciousness and into Self-empowerment consciousness. Prayer is a technology with which we can bring ourselves into resonance with the Universe and make all the laws that this Universe is governed by, work in our favour.
Prayer, meditation and breathwork are my go-to tools. They are free, they can be done anywhere and no-one can take them away from me. Praying is my default tool to keep me stable, humble, connected and protected.

If you’re ready to include empowered practices like prayer, breathwork, meditation and more self-development practices into your life that raise your vibration, I’d love to support you. Message me with ‘Habit Building 2025’ and I’ll share details about my upcoming 3-month program with you.
